I became a manager here
Throughout my career at eSky, I have developed in a variety of roles and projects. One of the professional adventures was the project of establishing our contact center in Porto Alegre, Brazil. I have been running this project for almost 2 years and it was an experience that taught me a lot. The team didn’t speak English so I learned Portuguese and built a team that works.

The journey of my life is…
Barcelona. It was my first trip abroad and that’s probably why I remembered it. Excellent food and people. Barcelona is one of the closest to my heart to this day.

My favorite place on earth
I am not going to the same place twice. There so many places to discover.

My biggest failure during the holidays was…
I was in Dubai. From the airport, I took the subway to the city. Unfortunately, my laptop bag was caught in the subway door and I was only holding it by the belt. It was ok for a few stations, but there was one narrower and my computer crashed against the wall…

From the moment I joined eSky, I used a lot of skills including language competences. When we started implementing the hotel product, my knowledge of the Spanish language was crucial for handling orders. Here I learned patience, team cooperation, management, and of course I gained a lot of industry knowledge.

I was not supposed to be here at all …
I only came to eSky for three months to finish a project. There was a lot of work here, so I let myself be persuaded and stayed. After five years, I got my team and that was a turning point in my professional career. The next stage was when I had so many people in my team that I had to divide them into sections. Here I learned peace, humility and respect for other people. I’ve also learned to make decisions based on data, not on intuition.

My favorite place on earth is…
Recently, the mountain Plocno in Bosnia and Herzegovina made the biggest impression on me. 2200 m, you can go on it by motorbike. Great views, total off-road. I adore.

My biggest failure during the holidays was…
Once we put up our tent in the wrong place. A downpour came and there was a lake. Everything was floating – everything 💦

I learned a lot here…
First of all, how to ask for help and not try to change the world on your own. I also learned that everything can be done and it’s not worth being stuck in your own comfort zone. In addition, I already know how to manage a team and budget. I learned to collect and analyze data, and then make decisions based on it.

My favorite place on earth
I haven’t visited as many places as I would like – but it was Sicily that captivated me the most.

My biggest failure during the holidays was…
Once at the airport I was suspected of being a drug dealer 🙃
All because of the shoes packed with the laptop – when checking the luggage it looked as if I had wiring in the soles – so I was taken for questioning. It took a long time…

My favorite place on earth
Lapland, Rovaniemi. Wildness, nature, few people, space, and definitely a rarely chosen direction. Everything I need is there.

My biggest failure during the holidays was…
In Mexico City, we went to the Cathedral of Our Lady of Guadeloupe by metro. During the whole trip, policemen accompanied us and at the end they said that we should not travel alone anymore, because we may not come back…

I learned to control my emotions here …
Thanks to working here, I am less emotional at work, I do not let emotions rule. I also know how to write to get people interested .. How to write straight about complicated things. The journey of my life is…
Balkans. For two weeks, I traveled around different cities in Serbia and Greece. Every day in a different place, everywhere with a group of friends. We had a great time, I remember this trip to this day.

My favorite place on earth
I would not like to point to any city or one specific place, because wherever there is nature: lakes, mountains, forests – I feel best there.

My biggest failure during the holidays was…
Perfect journey that never happened 🙃 Once, with representatives of an airline, we went to Egypt to check hotels, good places, get to know the local business. December, 7 days – sounds great. After two delays of flight it started to get hot because we had a transfer in Istanbul. We flew out and then it turned out that the airport was busy and we started to circle waiting for permission to land. When it worked, the plane to Egypt has already departed, and the next one was in three days…

Without telling anyone, I set my own development path…
I came here straight after college, I was not confident of myself and my skills. Over time, I learned to talk to people and gained courage. Surrounding myself with people smarter than myself has helped me a lot. When the company started to prepare to create its own mobile application, without telling anyone, I prepared my own version of the app, which in the end worked better than the one ordered from an external agency. I showed it to the Management Board, made an impression and got full support and trust to continue the project.

Zaporizhia. We traveled there with friends for 3 days by train and I had a lot of adventures there.

My favorite place on earth
I don’t have a favorite place, but it feels the best in the regions of Croatia.

My biggest failure during the holidays was…
After two days of travel to Zaporizhia, the train was stopped by the police, who wanted to throw us out of it because we weren’t the most polite. Fortunately, we had built a good relationship with the ladies who served the train earlier, and they stood up for us in negotiations with the police👮
